Student Parking
RMHS Parking Policy
Parking on campus is a privilege. Students may park on school grounds as long as all rules and regulations are followed. Failure to comply may result in tickets, towing, fines, loss of parking privileges, or additional disciplinary action.
General Rules & Regulations
-
Maximum campus speed limit: 10 mph. All traffic laws apply.
-
No parking in the RMHS bus lot or faculty/staff lot at any time. Vehicles may be towed.
-
Students must park in designated spaces only—no parking on the grass, between medians, or in restricted areas.
-
No loitering in the parking lot. Students should park, gather belongings, lock their vehicle, and promptly enter the building.
-
Students are not allowed in the parking lot during the school day unless officially checking out.
Parking Hang Tags
-
Hang tags from previous years must be removed. Current tags must be displayed on the rearview mirror so they are clearly visible.
-
If driving a different vehicle, students must transfer their hang tag.
-
Lost tags must be replaced at the student’s expense.
-
Tags cannot be shared, sold, or transferred.
-
Students who graduate mid-year or withdraw must return their hang tag.
Driving Conduct
-
Reckless driving or speeding above 10 mph will result in loss of privileges.
-
Students may not cut between buses in the afternoon.
-
Parking attendants must be obeyed at all times.
-
Cars must remain locked; RMHS is not responsible for theft or damage.
Fines & Consequences
-
Parking fines must be paid promptly.
-
Unpaid fines may result in suspension of parking privileges, withholding of report cards, loss of senior graduation participation, and/or inability to purchase a pass the following year.
-
One ticket may result in towing at the owner’s expense.
-
Repeat or serious violations may result in revocation of parking privileges.
