Nash Community College Career and College Promise Dual Enrollment
Earn college credit, tuition-free, while in high school! Nash Community College Career and College Promise (CCP) program offers eligible high school students the opportunity to earn a credential for employment or credits toward a college degree. In many cases, students can also earn dual credit - meeting high school graduation requirements with college courses.

Steps to Enroll
1. Review Eligibility & Instructions

Visit the Nash Community College College and Career Promise (CCP) website for eligibility requirements and instructions for both new and continuing CCP students.

Review the Nash Community College CCP Student Reference Guide.
2. Meet with Your Counselor

See your counselor to confirm that you are eligible and to receive an application.

After meeting with your counselor, contact Ms. Pittman (spittman061@nashcc.edu), the Nash Community College Liaison, for next steps.
3. Request Your Transcript

If you need a transcript for CCP, stop by the counselor’s office. We will send it directly to Ms. Pittman for you.
Important Things to Remember
- Course Load Requirements
- If you take 1 CCP course, you must also take at least 3 RMHS courses.
- If you take 2 CCP courses, you must also take at least 2 RMHS courses.
- Scheduling
- For 1 CCP course → choose classes after 1:00 PM or online.
- For 2 CCP courses → choose classes after 11:00 AM or online.
- Allow enough travel time to leave RMHS and arrive at Nash Community College.
- In-Person Courses
- You must leave RMHS immediately after your last scheduled class to attend NCC.
- A signed permission form (parent/guardian, counselor, administrator, and student) is required.
- Online Courses
- 11th graders: Required to complete online CCP courses in the RMHS computer lab (Room 2212).
- 12th graders: May leave campus with a signed early release permission form (parent/guardian, counselor, administrator, and student).
- Pathway Commitment
- Once you select a CCP pathway, you must take courses within that pathway. Switching pathways may cause enrollment delays.
Dual Credit & Transcripts

- Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (how NCC courses transfer to a 4-year NC college/university).
- Final Grades
- CCP final grades are added to your official RMHS transcript after NCC sends grades.
- This process is manual and may take time but will be completed before class rank is updated.
- Sending Transcripts to Colleges
- Students are responsible for sending NCC transcripts directly to college admission offices.

- To request an NCC transcript
- Follow the instructions for payment.
- Enter your personal information.
- Click Order Transcript.
- Type “Nash Community College” and click Continue.
- Go to Request a NCC Transcript.

Students request their transcript for CCP purposes please stop by the counselors off and we will get one to Ms. Pittman for you.

Things to remember

Taking one CCP course? You should have at least three RMHS courses.
Choose a course that begins after 1:00 or is Online

If enrolling in two CCP courses, you'll have at least two RMHS courses. To participate in CCP, students must be enrolled in at least 2 RMHS courses.
Choose courses that begin after 11am or are online if you are choosing 2 classes.

You need to give yourself plenty of time to leave campus and arrive at your destination.

If your courses are in-person

Prepare to leave RMHS immediately at the end of your scheduled RMHS courses if your courses and head to Nash Community College. This must be signed by your parent/guardian, counselor, and school administrator, and yourself.

If your courses are online

11th graders- you will report to the computer lab (room 2212) on campus (at RMHS) and complete your online courses. This is REQUIRED!

12th graders- your can leave campus with a signed early release person form. This must be signed by your parent/guardian, counselor, and school administrator, and yourself.

CCP Students - once you pick a pathway you need to take courses in that pathway, switching pathways could cause a delay in your enrollment in NCC courses.

CCP course final grades are added to your official high school transcript after Nash Community College sends final grades to RMHS. This process is manual and can take time. The process will be completed before the high school class rank is updated.
