Congratulations to the members of the Boys and Girls Basketball team who were
name to the Big East All-Conference team: McKinley Battle, Keysha Mizzell,
Anthony Jones and Emanauel Battle. Honorable Mention: Tanaja White and Gerald
Davis. McKinley Battle was also named to the All- District 1 st team for the State.
On Saturday at the NCHSAA State Championship game, Coach Pam Gainey, she was
awarded the Wooden Legacy Award. The recipient must be a long-time, active
basketball coach who also serves as an outstanding educator and who, through their
excellence on the court, in the classroom and in the community, embodies the
characteristics of John Wooden - Excellence, Longevity, Character, Leadership and
Service. Congratulation Coach Pam Gainey.
